Title: Pharmacist


Status: Exempt


Reports to: Director of Store Operations


Job Summary: To manage daily pharmacy functions and medication fulfillment.


Duties and Responsibilities:

 

MEDICAL FULFILLMENT

 

  • Oversee technician(s) in entering new patient information and prescription information into pharmacy computer      system.
  • Oversee technician(s) while filling prescriptions.
  • Oversee inventory ordering, inventory control, distribution activities and cash payment transactions.
  • Communication with various doctors and doctors’ offices in regards to obtaining proper prescriptions, insurance or prior     authorization information.
  • Oversee controlled substance logs and inventory.
  • Oversee technician(s) in entering new patient information and prescription information into pharmacy computer      system.
  • Assist patients with drug questions and medical counseling.

 

MANAGEMENT FUNCTIONS

 

  • Interview, hire and train new technician(s), pharmacists, shipping personnel and other staff.
  • Work with QoL Clinical Medication Coordinator with set-ups, questions, prescription activity, etc.
  • Provide dispensing reports to Director of Pharmacy Operations on a monthly basis.
  • Review reimbursement issues with Director of Pharmacy Operations.
  • Review profit and loss statements for pharmacy with Director of Pharmacy Operations.
  • Develops strategies to increase business (number of patients and number of prescriptions) and ensure appropriate      customer service.
  • Sign all documentation required as Pharmacy Manager/Pharmacist of Record.
  • Maintain all DEA requirements for assigned pharmacy.
  • Oversee operations to ensure that pharmacy is in compliance with (state) licensing.
  • Maintain a valid and current state license.

 

OTHER

 

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Graduate of an accredited pharmacy program.
  • Must be registered and have state licensure.
  • Management experience preferred.

Title: Clinical Medication Coordinator


Job Summary:

The Clinical Medication Coordinator (CMC) meets with each Medicaid or insured consumer of their mental health center to educate them on the benefits of using QoL meds pharmacy as opposed to a local retail vendor. By developing relationships with the entire treatment team (clinicians, family and consumer) the CMC ensures that a Qol meds consumer receives the highest quality of prescriptive service. Some of the duties include:

 

 

Clozapine/Clozaril Phlebotomy
Set up clozapine clinic for patients on clozapine to have their blood drawn and receive next cycle of medication. Draw blood and send samples to lab. Monitor patient’s attendance at clinic as well as other questions/issues.
