Our Mission is to improve the Quality of Life for people living with mental illness by establishing a higher level of prescriptive care.
In 1999 the founder of QoL meds was Richard Sassano. His business travels brought him into contact with both consumers and administrators of community mental health facilities. It was in working with these individuals that he discovered the need for more focused pharmacy services and the benefit of them being located inside the community mental health center. Before forming QoL meds, Richard took time to travel around to multiple centers and researched the needs of both the consumers and the facilities alike. The ground work that was done and the knowledge that was gained from this research is what has led to QoL meds comprehensive approach to offering pharmacy services.
From there, the Pittsburgh location was opened and is now servicing local assisted living facilities throughout the greater Pittsburgh area. That then led to the first on-site location in Comhar which is located in Philadelphia, PA. QoL meds has since grown to more than 32 full service pharmacies in over 17 states.
QoL meds mission has been the same since day one. We continue to offer the most cutting edge pharmacy service, prescription data and case management assistance to the consumers of the community mental health centers that we have partnered with. This is all done with one single goal in mind. The goal is to improve the quality of life of those folks living with mental illness. We do that by providing a higher level of prescriptive care.
